Short synopsis
In this documentary Nafiss Nia goes back to the place where she, as a young asylum seeker, received Dutch lessons from three retired ladies in the back room of a church in Amersfoort. Besides Dutch language lessons, Nafiss and other refugees also learned about Dutch history, culture and costumes from the three ladies. In that time integration happened naturally without the pressure of politics. In this film she reminisces about a time when the first seeds of a still growing love for the Dutch language were planted.
